MDA Camp 2004 July 17, 2004

Wow. What a year. This was my sixth year as a counselor and my first out of the comfort of the Bay Cabins. I was in the Mountain Cabins this year and I must say that I liked it. I was able to bond with some people I already knew and meet some new people that turned out to be very cool.

My camper this year, Branden, was brand new to camp and was quite shy at first, but really opened up about mid way through camp. I must say he was quite the lady killer (thanks Lisa). I'm really hoping that he'll make it back to camp next year because he was a great addition.

A couple of standout moments were the catered food and the spinning / jump stick. Most of the catered food was amazing and was quite a treat when compared to the regular camp "food". And the spinning / jump stick ... well I can't tell you too much, but I ended up spraining a couple of toes and hobbling on the last two days of camp. (I'm still feeling the effects).

Overall, camp rocked. I can't wait until next year!
